This botanical center was difficult to find and get to. No one had ever heard of it and then when they did they were like why would you want to go there. We were disallowed from taking photographs after awhile. There was no one at the garden except us and our guide, which we were required to have. The images aren't that great because my cameras light meter was broken. It was an interesting garden to see for a day. I wasn't familiar with anything really so that created a great deal of curiosity for me. They had a great deal of orchids that i am assuming were indigenous and were under study by Kew Gardens which is affiliated with this botanical center. They had one group of gingers, that i am assuming where for some research, that were in a greenhouse that looked like a prison under lock and key. We had a great stroll on the back side of the garden which was very wild and had large specimen trees which again i was unfamiliar with. As you can see from the photos the light in this part of Kerala is very bright and hot. The soil which is a yeelow red really makes the ladscape look so hot, when in actuality it was fairly cool.
