Lal Bagh is a garden with history. it is laid out in a reticlinear fashion but the trees quite old and have grown in a very natrural way so as to create an enormous canopy. It doesn't seem that there have been any additions to the garden other than annual beds. The giant specimen trees are really the great attraction. The city of Bangalore is Indias great hig tech center which is very westernized. Lal Bagh tried to be western along time ago with the introduction of western plants and ideas, however the only thing of any interest are the native specimen trees. Lal Bagh is a park that the locals like to us as a lovers meeting place. It is one of the few places i saw where Indians actually openly displayed romantic intentions.
