This botanical center is one of the greats of the world as far as i am concerned. The have an incredible endowment, location, plant collection, history, and staff, oh and it makes a great set for movies.
The Huntington is actually more than a botanical garden but an art collection, library and soon to be conservatory. Education is a big part of the Huntington whether it be botany or rare books.Imagine they have their own press. It is really one of the grand botanical centers because it also has architecturally significant buildings that are quite grande. It is 150 acres of distinct thematic gardens: Australian, Camellia, Japanese, Rose, Lily Ponds, Desert, Subtropical, Jungle, Herb and Shakespear. i remember the first time i visited the Huntington i spent about an hour just in the parking lot.
